Program Description:

Rural Heritage Day is dedicated to celebrating and preserving the traditions, crafts, and lifestyles that define rural life. Through demonstrations, storytelling, and hands-on activities, attendees will gain a deeper appreciation for the cultural heritage of the region.

  • 10:00 AM – Opening Ceremony: The day begins with a welcome address and an introduction to the significance of rural heritage.
  • 10:30 AM – Traditional Craft Demonstrations: Local artisans will showcase traditional crafts such as basket weaving, pottery, and woodworking, providing insights into the skills and techniques passed down through generations.
  • 12:00 PM – Storytelling Session: Elders from the community will share folk tales, legends, and personal stories, preserving the oral traditions that are integral to rural culture.
  • 1:00 PM – Farm Equipment Exhibit: A display of historical and modern farming tools and equipment, highlighting the evolution of agricultural practices over time.
